Ascend: The Catholic Faith for a New Generation is a new way of exploring the basics of Christianity. Contemporary, visual and readable, it is a full-color, magazine-style overview of the Faith developed with young adults in mind. It takes its inspiration from the way we use information today: matrixed rather than linear, visual rather than textual, engaging rather than academic.
Ascend is not the first thing I have written. My essay on Our Lady of Guadalupe was included in the anthology Contemporary Catholics on Traditional Devotions, edited by James Martin, S.J., and published by Loyola Press. I have also been a frequent contributor to America and Commonweal, two of the most prominent national Catholic magazines. Some of the articles I wrote for America have even been cover features.
